The Diaper Foundation strives to help Houston area's youngest victims of poverty, while equipping and empowering the mothers to live and lead healthy lives. DID U KNOW…According to the Houston, Texas Poverty Rate Data Report (http://www.city-data.com/poverty/poverty-Houston-Texas.html), over 33% of the population’s children live below the poverty level.In low income households, babies often spend an entire day or longer in a single diaper because the family cannot afford to buy an ample supply of diapers; therefore, many babies spend more than a day in one diaper, which leads to potential health and abuse risks.Federally funded programs such as SNAP Food Stamps and The Woman, Infants and Children (WIC), do not cover the cost of diapers for low income parents.A sufficient supply of diapers can cost over $100 per month per child.

WHAT WE DO ABOUT USThe Diaper Foundation (TDF), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in November 2009, by Houston's own, Hope Ewing. The organization strives to make a difference in the community, one diaper at a time, assisting under-privileged parent's with providing their children and infants with diapering necessities, awareness, and hope. The VISION for TDF is to empower women to live healthy lives and aiding them with building a firm foundation of character principles for their futures. Click here to get to know the Board of Directors.THINGS TO COME ...PARENTING 101- A course that edifies TDF mother's with insight on basic parenting skills.NUTRITION CLASS- A course that instructs TDF mother's how to live a loving and healthy life for themselves and their children. TDF will have a nutritionist on site.MONEY MANAGEMENT- A course that empowers TDF mother's with the knowledge and skills to build and maintain a good financial foundation for their families. The founder and professional financial advisor from GMGW Ministries will be the guest speaker.

OUR MISSIONThe Diaper Foundation's MISSION is geared towards: Meeting the maternal and childcare needs of our youngest victims of poverty.Raising community awareness about the basic infant need for diapers that is not being met.Educating and servicing the greater Houston area about the disproportionate availability or lack of diaper services offered to mothers. Partnering with agencies that cater to families living in poverty to assist with supplying infants and toddlers with an adequate supply of diapering supplies.

WHAT YOU CAN DO BECOME A "SPONSOR A CHILD" PARTNER Becoming a sponsor a child partner of TDF, gives you the opportunity to lend a helping hand in building up the future for underpriveledged mothers, children, and infants, one diaper at a time. As a sponsor a child partner, you will automatically subscribe to receiving TDF Newsletters to stay informed on news, events, and how you are making a difference.*TDF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your contributions are tax deductible. SPONSOR A CHILD PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM, (SCPP)TDF partners have the opportunity to commit to monthly contributions that sponsors a child in need. Partners can commit to ANY MONTHLY AMOUNT, by Mail (checks) or PayPal (See PayPal button at the top of the page).
